## Key points

- Fanvue uses three different measures: a restriction, a suspension and a hold on payouts. Each one has a different fix.
- For AI creators, restrictions are mostly about two things: a real person in the content without verification, and anything that looks underage.
- During a review Fanvue can hold back your earnings. You only lose them if the review confirms a breach, and you can dispute that.
- Appeal within 14 days. The Complaints Policy gives 14 days and the Creator Terms six months. Only the shorter one is safe.
- A high chargeback rate restricts your payouts. Your account keeps working, and payouts start again once the rate settles.

If Fanvue has suspended or restricted your creator account, three questions matter. Which measure is it? What happens to your money? How long do you have to appeal? Fanvue answers the first two in its documents. For the third, its documents give two numbers. The safe one is 14 days.

## Suspended, restricted, or payouts on hold

| What you see | What it means | Usual cause, according to Fanvue | What you can do |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Account restricted | Access is limited until you fix an issue | Unverified people in the content, age-related flags | Follow the recovery steps |
| Account suspended | The account is shut. Earnings can be held back | Fraud, linked accounts, ID mismatch, breaches of the terms | Appeal under the Complaints Policy |
| Payouts restricted | The account works. Withdrawals are paused | A chargeback rate that is high compared with your earnings | Wait for the rate to settle |

## Why Fanvue suspends or restricts accounts

> Fanvue lists five grounds for suspension: fraudulent spending; fraudulent usage, where "engaging in spamming, posting inappropriate content, or violating platform rules can lead to account suspension"; fraud in associated accounts, linked through matching payment details, usernames, email addresses or subscription patterns; a mismatch between the ID and the face picture or the content, unless the co-authored content policy is followed; and breaches of the terms such as illegal activity or hate speech.

If you run several personas, pay special attention to "associated accounts". Accounts that are paid from one card or registered with one email pattern share their risk. The ID-mismatch reason was written with photographs in mind. To avoid that problem, set a persona up as an AI creator from the start, as [Fanvue verification for AI creators](https://aiofmcity.com/blog/fanvue-verification-kyc) describes.

> Fanvue restricts accounts for unverified individuals in content without consent documentation, for AI images that break its age-representation guidelines, and for flagged terms suggesting underage characteristics. Recovery means photo ID and signed consent forms for everyone featured and, for age flags, profile images that clearly show adults, with no school-themed content or suggestive roleplay. Fanvue warns that "future violations will result in permanent suspension without a chance for reactivation."

Fanvue does not negotiate about anything that looks underage. A restriction is the only warning you get.

## What happens to your money

> Under section 7.1 Fanvue may, "without warning or Notice and for as long as is necessary to review the relevant facts", suspend the account, pause fan payments and "withhold any part of your Creator Earnings". If it determines that a breach took place, 7.2 lets it "treat any part of your Creator Earnings as forfeited". Section 7.7: "You may dispute a Creator Earnings forfeiture decision, or account termination/suspension decision by following our Complaints Policy. Appeals must be submitted within six months of action."

During a review your balance is frozen, but you have not lost it. A large balance that you have not withdrawn is a risk, because a review can freeze all of it. [Fanvue payout methods](https://aiofmcity.com/blog/fanvue-payout-methods) covers how to withdraw regularly.

> If a creator's chargeback rate stays elevated relative to their earnings, Fanvue may "temporarily restrict your payouts to give your account time to stabilise. Once it does, payouts will resume."

## How to appeal a Fanvue suspension and how long you have

> "If your account is affected by an enforcement action due to a Complaint, you may submit an Appeal by contacting support@fanvue.com within 14 days of the enforcement notice." "Submissions made after the 14-day window may still be reviewed but are not guaranteed a response."

### What the sources do not say: Pinning down the deadline for a Fanvue appeal

This article wanted to give you one number. Fanvue's documents give two. The Creator Terms say six months and point to the Complaints Policy. The Complaints Policy says 14 days, but only for enforcement "due to a Complaint". Neither page says which deadline covers a suspension that came out of Fanvue's own review.

This article does not guess which one applies. Appeal within 14 days, in writing, and keep the email. That works under both readings.

## How to appeal step by step

1. **Find out which measure it is** from the notice: restriction, suspension or payout hold.
2. **Stop whatever triggered it first.** A second violation after a restriction leads to a permanent suspension.
3. **Email support@fanvue.com within 14 days.** Name the account and the decision, and say why Fanvue should reconsider it.
4. **Attach what the reason asks for**: IDs and release forms for featured people, or what you changed after an age flag.
5. **Keep a dated record** of every message.

An appeal only deals with one removed account. [Risk for AI persona accounts](https://aiofmcity.com/guides/risk-bans-and-recovery) is about the step before that: how to set up your operation so that losing one account does not end it.

## Frequently asked

### Why was my Fanvue account suspended?

Fanvue names five reasons. Three are about fraud: fraudulent spending, fraudulent usage such as spam or posting against its rules, and fraud in an account linked to yours. The other two are an ID that does not match the face or the content, and breaches of its terms such as illegal activity or hate speech. A restriction is narrower. For AI creators it is usually about who appears in the content or whether anything looks underage.

### Can I get a suspended Fanvue account back?

Sometimes. A restriction comes with recovery steps that Fanvue publishes. Mostly you send documents: IDs and consent forms for anyone featured. You also change content that looks young. You appeal a suspension through the Complaints Policy. Fanvue warns that another violation after a restriction leads to permanent suspension without reactivation.

### What happens to my Fanvue earnings if my account is suspended?

The creator terms let Fanvue pause fan payments and hold back your earnings for as long as its review takes. If it finds a breach, it can treat the earnings as forfeited, which means you lose them. You can dispute that decision through the Complaints Policy.

### How long do I have to appeal a Fanvue suspension?

Fanvue's documents give two numbers. The Complaints Policy says 14 days from the enforcement notice, for action that followed a complaint. The Creator Terms say six months. If you appeal within 14 days, the difference does not matter.
