What you need to hit your income goal on Fanvue
Most people plan like this: subscription price times subscribers. Fanvue's own figures show that subscriptions are only about a sixth of the income. Enter the amount you want to take home, or the followers you already have. The calculator shows where the rest has to come from.
Affiliate links. Fanvue links pay us.The Fanvue links on this page are affiliate links, marked “affiliate”. If you sign up through one, we earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra and does not change what we write. How it works
Everything above the subscriptions line assumes your messages and tips earn the same share that Fanvue reports for new creators. That is an average across the platform. A new account cannot count on it.
Where that money comes from
How many subscribers that is
Above about 5,000 subscribers this is only maths on figures Fanvue published for new and typical creators. Nobody measured anything at that size. Treat these numbers as a rough guess.
At a 40% renewal rate, 51 of those 85subscribers have to be new every month, only to keep your income the same.
Money from a sale on day 1 reaches you roughly 14 days later:7 days pending plus processing. It is 30 days pending if the buyer never verified their email address.
Not included: chargebacks, tax, and currency conversion if you are paid in a currency you do not spend. You pay all three yourself.
What the numbers do not tell you
This calculator does not predict what you will earn. Two of the inputs are your own guesses: the goal, and the share of followers who subscribe. The tool only works out what follows from them.
It does show where the work is. If subscriptions are a sixth of the income, a week of making images with no time spent on messages is a week spent on the smaller part. How much AI influencers make gives the source for every Fanvue figure above. How to read a payout page explains the terms that decide how much of a good month reaches you, and when.
These figures are for Fanvue (affiliate link, opens in a new tab). It is the platform we use, and it has a published rule that allows AI creators. You do not have to use Fanvue: the four questions in the payout-terms article work for any platform.
How to use the calculator
- Pick a direction. Start from a goal if you know what you want to take home. Start from your followers if you want to see what your current audience points to.
- Enter your goal, or your followers and the share of them you think will subscribe.
- Enter your subscription price. If you have not set one yet, start inside the $9.99 to $15 range.
- Leave the subscription share at 16% and the renewal rate at 40% until you have a month of your own numbers. Then replace them with yours.
- Read the last line first: new subscribers you need every month. That is the number your posting has to deliver.
- Use Copy link to this result to save or share it. The link opens the calculator with your numbers filled in.
A worked example
These are the numbers the calculator opens with. The goal is an example, not a promise and not a typical result.
- Goal: money that reaches your bank
- $5,000
- Subscription price
- $12
- Total sales: $5,000 ÷ 0.8 ÷ 0.99
- $6,313
- From subscriptions: 16% of sales
- $1,010
- From messages and tips: the rest
- $5,303
- Active subscribers: $1,010 ÷ $12, rounded up
- 85
- New each month: 60% of them do not renew
- 51
The goal needs $5,303 a month from messages and tips. That is more than 5 times what subscriptions bring in. It also needs 51 new subscribers every month, only to replace the ones who leave.

Fanvue keeps 20%. The calculator uses the standard creator rate for everyone:
"The 85% earning rate offered to creators joining Fanvue in 2022 has come to an end and the platform is now transitioning to its standard 80% rate."Fanvue Help — Earning Rate Changes for Creators on Fanvue (opens in a new tab)checked
A 1% payout fee. It only applies if you are paid through TripleA. The calculator includes it, so the result is never too optimistic.
"Currently, the only payout provider that carries a Fanvue fee is TripleA." For TripleA, "the fee is 1%".Fanvue Help — Payout fees on Fanvue (opens in a new tab)checked
Subscriptions are about 16% of earnings. This is Fanvue's figure for a creator's first two months: about 10% from the subscription and about 6% from renewals. Most of the rest is paid messages.
"The subscription itself accounts for only around ~10% of what they earn. The largest share, around ~60%, comes from paid messages in DMs." "In a creator's first two months, renewals make up only around 6% of earnings."Fanvue Help — Subscription Pricing & Retention Guide (opens in a new tab)checked
About 40% renew. The default renewal rate comes from the same guide. The price range in the price field does too.
"Roughly 4 in 10 subscriptions last beyond the first 30-day cycle." Fanvue "allows subscription prices from $3.99 to $100/month, with $9.99-$15 performing best across the platform on average."Fanvue Help — Subscription Pricing & Retention Guide (opens in a new tab)checked
When the money arrives. The timing line uses the pending period and the top of the processing time:
"The process typically takes 7 days to complete." But "if fans haven't verified their email, the payment can be on held for 30 days".Fanvue Help — Pending vs Available Balance (opens in a new tab)checked
"Your request will then be immediately processed and sent to your chosen payout method within 3-5 business days, depending on your chosen payout method!"Fanvue Help — How to receive a payout on Fanvue (opens in a new tab)checked
Your own guesses stay yours. Your goal and the share of followers who subscribe are not Fanvue figures. Nobody publishes a follower-to-subscriber rate for AI accounts. Replace both with your own numbers as soon as you have them.
